Weather: All day raining

I planned to watch a drama performance at the Lakeside theatre tonight. I already collected my ticket on Thursday night. I should finish my dinner before 7pm in order to catch the bus at seven fifteen from Jubilee. J was the chef on duty tonight and he promised he would prepare the meal before six. As he promised, we started to eat our dinner around six and finished around seven. However, during the dinner, my friend and I found J was very down, not only because he had been ull for almost one week but also because he is feeling uncomfortable about the whole course. We tried to encourage him by sharing our experiences. We found we all share a very serious problem because we can rarely understand the Indian accent of our classmates. This is a very big obstacle that stops us joining group discussions.

Later, after I went home, I even tried to google "how to get used to the Indian accent." There is an article talking about that Indian people will pronounce some letters in different ways, like pronouncing "t" as "d", "k" as "g", "p" as "b" and so on. I will keep these tips in mind and hope they will be useful when I talk with the Indian classmates next week. After we had talked and discussed, I missed out on watching the play and felt a little bit sad about it. However, friendship is comparably more important than a ticket, and I am happy that my friend said he feels better after talking with us.
