During the Fresher's Fair, I registered as a volunteer and tried to join some interesting projects. This Friday evening, I participated in my first volunteer project named "A World Music Festival". This festival took place at the "New Art Exchange" venue. Two of my friends joined this volunteer project as well. As the registration process was not well organised, we made sure that we had registered successfully at four on Friday, before the festival began at seven.
My friend and I met around five-fifty and went to have our dinner at an Indian restaurant. The food over there is yummy and the best thing is they provide special offer for people who make orders before six. We arrived just two minutes before six just in time for the special offer. However, at first, the first waitress came to us and said that we had missed , and left. But then we asked another waitress, and she said we could have that special offer if we ordered right away. So we made our orders in under one minute and got the delicious Indian curry chicken for only six pounds. We were lucky!
As we were rushing, we finished our dinner in fifteen minutes. We took the bus and arrived at the "New Art Exchange" venue just before the festival began. Lucky again! The staff said that our job was to make sure everyone had a place to sit and enjoy the music. Besides, from that we could enjoy the music if we wanted. It was a fantastic night, with brilliant music, nice staff, many new friends, ad unforgetable volunteer experience.
