This week I have tried to sit next to the aisle when I have attended lectures. This is because sometimes I would have a very serious coughing fit and the coughing would last for a long time. Therefore, in this moment, I would prefer to leave the classroom as I don't want to interrupt the lectures.
However, my French classmate told me she feels this behaviour is weird although she knows the reason why I left the classroom. She said that western people would not act like that maybe because they are generous. They like to share viruses. I appreciate her for telling me what she thinks and I think she is very thoughtful and kind. But I will still get out of the classroom when I have a coughing fit next time.

Clear
I think I have got a cold!!!
I was sneezing and had a sore throat on Friday. My condition became worse after I went to see the bonefire at the Forest Recreation Centre. It was raining on the way to the venue. Although the rain had stopped before the fireworks started, the temperature dropped rapidly during that period.

Cloudy + shower
Recently, a professor asked us to make a "mind map" as pat of our course work. I first heard od "mind map" from a British Council module I attended for the IELTS preparation. The teacher taught us to use mind map for the speaking test.
Using mind maps is a skill or a tool for developing an idea. During the speaking test, we will be given a topic to give a two minutes speech on after one minute of preparation. Using a mind map can provide us a clear idea about what we should talk about. For me, it is quite handy, I use it quite often when I read and study.

Cloudy
I woke up at nine forty-five this morning. I thought this was really late. Then I sat in front of my desk and decided to check my email. Suddenly, I saw the time on the computer said it was only eight forty-five. Oh~I forgot that it is today that British people adjust their time back to GMT zone. I was Happy that I had gained an extra hour and that had not slept that late.
For Breakfast I ate toast with tuna mayonnaise and I tried to start reading at ten but this plan failed and I couldn't get into the paper until twelve. This paper tried to determine whether marketing is an art or science by looking ar a fifty years of marketing debate. I thought the author would have determined answer but he discovered that marketing experts didn't ever use the term "Art" which meant the debate was meaningless. I feel so empty since it took me about four hours to read this boring paper full of complicated vocabulary but got nothing at the end.

In today's marketing management lecture, we looked at a case study about Virgin Galactic. To be an astronaut is many people's dream because this is the only way to see the earth from outer space and experience weightlessness. Previously only astronauts would have the chances to see earth from outer space. However, this will become history with the birth of Virgin Galactic.
Virgin Galactic has designed and created their own spaceship, and now their spaceport which is located in New Mexico, in the United States is under construction. each of their spaceships can carry six passengers. Tickets cost £100,000, and the deposit starts from £10,000. Since 2008, 340 people have already booked their place. These people only need to undergo some physical checks and then they can travel into space rather than undergoing the serious physical and technological training of professional astronauts. The dream of traveling in to outer space has become a possibility.

Weather: All day raining
I planned to watch a drama performance at the Lakeside theatre tonight. I already collected my ticket on Thursday night. I should finish my dinner before 7pm in order to catch the bus at seven fifteen from Jubilee. J was the chef on duty tonight and he promised he would prepare the meal before six. As he promised, we started to eat our dinner around six and finished around seven. However, during the dinner, my friend and I found J was very down, not only because he had been ull for almost one week but also because he is feeling uncomfortable about the whole course. We tried to encourage him by sharing our experiences. We found we all share a very serious problem because we can rarely understand the Indian accent of our classmates. This is a very big obstacle that stops us joining group discussions.
Later, after I went home, I even tried to google "how to get used to the Indian accent." There is an article talking about that Indian people will pronounce some letters in different ways, like pronouncing "t" as "d", "k" as "g", "p" as "b" and so on. I will keep these tips in mind and hope they will be useful when I talk with the Indian classmates next week. After we had talked and discussed, I missed out on watching the play and felt a little bit sad about it. However, friendship is comparably more important than a ticket, and I am happy that my friend said he feels better after talking with us.

Although I have a bachelor degree in food and service management, cooking was never one of my interest strong points. However, I since I came to the UK, I have to cook for myself because I chose self-catering accommodation in order to save money.
I have been in the UK for almost three weeks and I have only cooked once. That time I made a chicken tomato pasta which is the only dish I have practiced. Yesterday I had a second try on try/go at chicken curry rice. I bought most of my ingredients from Tesco in the city centre. The cooking was started in I started cooking at 05:30pm. First, I cut all the ingredients into 1~2cm cubic cubes, except the garlic. Garlic needed to must be cut into smaller pieces. Then I heated the pan and put garlic into the pan to be fried a little bit, and then I threw in all the remaining ingredients, and fried them for a while. Then I added 5 cups of water to boil them until these the ingredients became tender. Then throwing I added two pieces of curry cubic cubes into the pan, and stirring stirred as well as turning down the fire heat to steam them until the curry sauce became thick.
